S50 Rod Bearing Replacement E36 M3

Surprise, another M car with rod bearing problems. If you’re the proud owner of an E36 M3, rod bearings should definitely be on your list for servicing.

BMWs standard bearings are known to wear out prematurely, and if not caught in time can cause massive engine failure, something not bearing thinking about. Pun intended!

This is definitely worth approaching a specialist BMW garage to do, as specialist knowledge of these engines is critical for this job.

Here at Element Performance, we are proud to offer big end, rod bearing services for the S50 from £1400 for ACL uprated bearings. We can also offer this service with OEM Genuine bearings and ARP bolts at additional cost. ARP bolts are definitely worth considering if you plan on tuning your engine and pushing it hard, as they are developed to be much stronger than standard.

Our prices includes all labour and parts, including new 10W-60 oil with Genuine filter. New power steering fluid as the rack has to be disconnected for this job, all appropriate clips and seals will be replaced too. Genuine BMW Conrod bolts. New gaskets and o-rings where needed, including a new sump gasket. All bearing clearances are checked with Plastigauge for peace of mind and measurements recorded. Copies of all our work is documented for you to keep with your cars service history, including photos and videos.

We know your classic is worth more to you than just a car, that’s why at Element Performance, we treat every car as we would want our own to be treated. Upmost care is taken with every job, all appropriate seals are replaced to avoid leaks in the future than should have been avoided, all parts are Genuine BMW, the OE Supplier for the part. Your car deserves the very best care and we are here to make that happen.
