E90 E92 M3 Throttle Actuator Fault for the S65 V8

One to add to your list if you’re a S65 owner is throttle actuators.

How do I know if they’ve failed?

The failure of your throttle actuators is accompanied by EML check engine light, reduced power or even ‘limp mode’.

Common codes you might be able to read are: 2B15: Throttle valve actuator control monitor bank 1 and 2B16: Throttle valve actuator control monitor bank 2

This is commonly caused by electronic circuit board issues within the actuator. The gears are known to wear out too but often at a much higher mileage than the circuit board failure. We are proud to supply and fit rebuilt actuators that come with a lifetime guarantee on them, a true testimony to the quality of these rebuilt units.

Here at Element Performance, we offer this service from just £800. This includes the new actuators with lifetime guarantee as well as labour. No hidden prices!
